At Eurofirms, we presented the report “Perceptions of Employment in the Retail Sector,” a study that analyses the current key factors in employment in this transforming sector. The report highlights that job stability and the work environment are the main factors in attracting and retaining talent, while a lack of training and uncompetitive salaries are the main reasons for leaving. It also addresses the disconnect between the most valued skills and the training offered, as well as the opportunity that intergenerational diversity represents for building stronger, more collaborative teams.
A meeting point for the retail sector
To mark the presentation of the study, Eurofirms and WiR organised a sector-wide meeting with leaders and experts from the retail sector in Madrid on 29th April. Representatives from companies such as DIA, Etam and ARTE participated in the event. During the day, a roundtable discussion was held with industry experts who shared experiences and proposals for addressing the challenges of talent management. Highlights included communication, ongoing training and generational integration as drivers of positive transformation in the retail sector.
