The new engines of summer employment

At Eurofirms, we have conducted an analysis in which we have detected that the Spanish summer job market no longer revolves exclusively around hospitality and commerce. There is a 48% growth in culture, 16% in storage, and 7% in manufacturing industry compared to the previous quarter. Although hospitality remains key, summer employment is diversifying towards new driving sectors.

Seasonality and stability

Beyond occasional employment, permanent contracts maintain a constant activity during the summer, especially in sectors such as technology, pharmaceuticals, metal, or electrical materials, following a planned and minimally seasonal pattern. Although they tend to concentrate in the first quarter of the year, their continuity in the summer months, along with the agility of temporary contracts, helps the job market adapt better to demand cycles without losing a base of structural stability.
