Workplace well-being has become an essential element for building sustainable and humane organizations. In this context, Eurofirms and the Fundación Lucha contra las Infecciones are launching “Transmitting well-being”, a series of conversations that explore the relationship between health, well-being and the work environment in people’s quality of life.
This project brings together the perspectives of the healthcare and business sectors to analyze how work influences physical and emotional health, and how proper management can contribute to improving it.
In this conversation, Fidel Mallo, Chief People Officer of Eurofirms Group, and José A. Muñoz-Moreno, clinical psychologist and researcher, address one of today’s major challenges: mental health in the workplace.
Factors such as stress, constant pressure and burnout are increasingly prevalent, affecting both individual well-being and the functioning of companies.
Keys to boosting workplace well-being in companies
Workplace well-being depends not only on physical factors such as space or ergonomics, but is directly related to team management, internal communication and corporate culture.
It is built day by day: in how work is done, how teams communicate and how relationships are managed within the organization.
Some key elements for fostering it are:
- Prevention and anticipation: acting in time allows for reducing absenteeism, preventing emotional burnout and improving people’s quality of life.
- Trusting environments: creating spaces where people can talk openly about their health.
- People-centered culture: prioritizing active listening and support.
- Empathetic leadership: leaders who foster psychological safety and improve the work environment.
Furthermore, technology and artificial intelligence can contribute positively if applied ethically, helping to reduce repetitive tasks and free up time to focus on people.
All of this reinforces a key idea: when organizations take care of their people, the positive impact extends to the entire team and overall performance.
Eurofirms’ commitment to workplace well-being
At Eurofirms, the well-being of people is part of the company’s very DNA. Initiatives such as “Transmitting well-being” reflect our commitment to building healthier, more inclusive and sustainable work environments.
Under our People first approach, at Eurofirms we are committed to:
- Fostering organizational cultures based on trust and respect.
- Promote more human and approachable leadership.
- Integrate mental health as a strategic pillar in talent management.
- Collaborate with expert organizations to generate real impact.
This conversation leaves one clear idea: well-being is and will be a central focus in the future of work. Prevention, cross-departmental collaboration, and the creation of environments that care for people will be key factors in the coming years.
Because when people are well, not only does their quality of life improve, but that well-being extends throughout the organization and to society.
